Join WWOZ Show Host Mark LaMaire for a special dinner event benefiting a non-profit organization LaMaire founded in 2010 which provides educational sponsorship for ethnic refugees from Myanmar.  A Taste of Burma Benefit Dinner will feature six courses of traditional and Burmese inspired dishes prepared by Lahpet Kitchen and local Burmese chefs.  The event takes place Wednesday, June 15 at Live Oak Cafe, 8140 Oak St. with all proceeds going to One World Family International.  Tickets are only $45 and must be purchased in advance at BurmeseBenefitNOLA.eventbrite.com  You can also find the menu and more information at that website.  A Vegan menu is also available for the event.
