This spring, Jazz in the Park, the biannual free concert series at Armstrong Park, turns five years old. In honor of this birthday, People United for Armstrong Park is hosting a free three-day festival May 6-8 expanding the normal Jazz in the Park experience. The festival will also include various high school marching bands marching down the St. Ann promenade inside the park each hour, second lines, and dance troupes, plus music, arts, crafts, and food vendors.
