On today’s program, we enjoy an hour of Otra, an Afro-Cuban band based in New Orleans.

We also meet up with Barrie Schwartz of My House, an organization that focuses on empowering the local culinary community, including the growing food truck scene in New Orleans.

Later on the show, we speak with Rachel Carr Eymard to talk about her transition from the kitchen to Rue Chow, a food truck she owns with her husband Jarrett.

Rue Chow will be one of the food trucks rallied together at the Central City Food Truck Festival. There will be food (by the truckload), music, drinks and WWOZ! (We'll have a table there, so come say hello!) A few other food trucks you can look forward to are La Cocinita, The Fat Falafel, Mama & Me Soul Food and many more tasty pull-ups in this delicious caravan.
