Upcoming Shows

WWOZ will broadcast the Glen David Andrews Band with special guest fiddler Amanda Shaw live from d.b.a. on Frenchmen Street beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, June 28. Tune in to catch Glen David's high-energy trombone style and vocals combined with a killer band consisting of some of New Orleans' best instrumentalists!

The broadcast is sponsored by Lets Be Totally Clear, so the show will be totally smoke-free, providing a healthy environment for the musicians, staff and audience. The WWOZ Outreach Krewe will be there signing up new/renewing members and chatting with folks about the station.

Glen David Andrews comes from one of the most respected musical families in the Crescent City. Among his close kin are James Andrews, Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews, Revert "Peanut" Andrews, and Glen Andrews, all of whom made their names in the New Orleans brass band tradition. Whether he's performing on his own gig on Frenchmen Street, at major events like Jazz Fest, or simply sitting in with heavyweights around town, Glen David Andrews is a force to be reckoned with on both trombone and the microphone.
