Applications for the 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage and French Quarter Festivals are open and deadlines are fast approaching for both. The application deadline for next year's Jazz Fest (held April 24-May 3, 2015) is October 1, 2014. The application deadline for French Quarter Fest (held April 9-15, 2015) is November 1, 2014.
These festivals are two of the largest music events in New Orleans each year. The mission of the Jazz & Heritage Festival is to preserve, perpetuate, and promote the music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana-- about 85% of performers each year are Louisiana-based. All groups that are chosen to perform for 2015 will be notified after the October 1 deadline.
French Quarter Fest is billed as the largest free music festival in the South and features live performances on over twenty stages throughout the Quarter. FQF aims to create a diverse and a quality experience for festival-goers as part of a larger mission to promote the Vieux Carré and the City of New Orleans. 2015 will be the 32nd French Quarter Fest.
