On Saturday, December 4, from noon to 6pm, we'll celebrate WWOZ's 41st birthday by broadcasting a six-hour program, "The Story of WWOZ," covering the epic history of the station from its founding to the present day. You'll hear interviews, performances, and program excerpts from the station's 41 years on the air, including the voices of many beloved WWOZ show hosts, past and present. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and maybe scratch your head in bewilderment as we share with you the story of our long, strange trip -- don't miss it!
