Lowell Folk Festival
I listened to the live broadcast of the DC Jazz Fest over the weekend. The performances were superb and the sound quality was too. What a great thing! WWOZ on the road. Linking up with festivals and helping promote sister stations broadcasting Jazz.
I live up here in Lowell, MA and we have the largest free Folk Festival in the country. And by Folk, we mean music from all over the world. Many New Orleans bands have played at the festival and I'm sure would relay fond memories and the caliber of the festival in general.
Would WWOZ be interested in broadcasting live from the Lowell Folk Festival? Segments of it or certain bands? This would be a great thing for the promotion of WWOZ, The Lowell Folk Festival, and music in a whole. Let's build a cultural bridge together. All aboard!
