HBO’s Treme, currently filming in New Orleans, will host the 3rd Annual “My Darlin’ New Orleans” Auction and Celebrity Gala benefiting Sweet Home New Orleans, The Roots of Music, and the New Orleans Musicians Clinic and Assistance Foundation. Guests of this unique event will walk the red carpet and mingle with the cast and crew of Treme.
WWOZ will be broadcasting live New Orleans’ very own legendary Grammy Award winning blues singer Irma Thomas along with Little Freddie King, and Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns.
Guests will walk the red carpet and mingle with actors Wendell Pierce, Clarke Peters, Melissa Leo, Lucia Micarelli, Michiel Huisman, Chris Coy and crew, including David Simon and Eric Overmeyer and more while bidding on exclusive film, TV, and music memorabilia as well as items generously donated by HBO and local businesses. The auction will feature items from Treme, The Wire, and other HBO shows. A team of James Beard award winning and nominated guest chefs, Bayona’s Susan Spicer, Commander’s Palace’s Tory McPhail, and Domenica’s Alon Shaya, will be serving specialty dishes to guests as they sip on signature New Orleans cocktails.
