The fourth annual Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival is happening September 25-26 at Cassidy Park in Bogalusa, LA. The festival features many Louisiana musicians, as well as some national blues acts. In its inaugural year, the festival was named "Louisiana's Best New Event" and 2014 saw the festival expand from one day to two. In addition to great music and an art market, there's a 5K race at 8a Saturday and canoeing available along the Bogue Lusa Creek. Your friendly WWOZ outreach team will also be on hand with some cool 'OZ merchandise and information.
This is a kid-friendly festival, with drumming lessons, a spacewalk, train rides, and Cajun art classes for the younger set. See the full music & activity schedule below.
