UPDATE:
The City Council has accepted MaCCNO's demand of withdrawing the VCPORA-proposed ordinance from consideration and looks to be creating a new draft from scratch. We need everyone to come out to the Housing and Human Needs Meeting on January 27th at 10AM in the City Council Chambers to help shape the future course of action (but remember, this is for public participation, not a rally). Stopping the old ordinance isn't enough - we still lose if we aren't involved in the process from now on. Those wishing to speak as a part of the MaCCNO bloc should arrive no later than 9:30 am. A new draft of a proposed noise ordinance for New Orleans will be introduced at the Health and Human Needs Committee meeting on Monday, January 27 at 10am in City Council Chambers.
